Aloo Channa Chaat

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala/All spice
  • Ginger powder 1 teaspoon

Sweet Tamarind chutney

  1. 1 cup tamarind pulp
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala/All spice

Method

Tamarind Chutney

  1. Put all the ingredients of tamarind chutney in a pan and simmer on low heat until all ingredients are combined and forms a tick sauce like consistency.
  2. Set aside to cool.

Channa Chaat

  1. Add chickpeas, potato, onion, tomato and green chilies in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Add enough tamarind chutney to fold it.
  3. Sprinkle chaat masala and coriander leaves.
  4. Put in fridge and serve cold.
